I'm feeling electric, little dashes of energy competing with the scorch of the heat wave. You'd laugh if you saw us today, our little personal fans pointed directly on us, only a few feet from our face, following us through the house as we move about. I'm ready for a change in the weather.
So.... Chris & I decided to move to Portland for the summer. Everything is set as of tonight, and we will be heading out sometime tomorrow.
He & I have searched for months to find solid work here in the LA, yet with just a few weeks of "looking into it" we have managed to watch everything pull itself together. I'm still a little shocked. I am hoping for the best as we move forward, (And northward ) |

I've managed to get myself hired as the marketing assistant @ the Woodland Hills Whole Foods Market.... Yes I am very excieted. VERY. It means a lot of hours and a whole lot more work, but it also means a nice pay raise, more experience, and full time benifits. Woowoo!!
In other news we've been having freakish weather lately.. what with all the windstorms that rip up trees and blow you over when you try to walk outside. That, AND the 33° weather. We had ICE & FROST outside today for gods sake! What the hell is going on here??!!
School begins here in just a few(ish) days and it feels like I haven't even had a moment to stop and breath. I've just shivered in my 2015465779712577897 layers of clothing and gone from work to sleep and back to work again. With Chris's car having found a new second home at AMCO, we've been forced to shlep each other all around town, reducing greatly our ability to do anything fun in those few short mins/hours as we cross paths between our differant work shifts. But than again, I'm happy, marriage counldn't more awesome, and the prospects are looking bright. Still, I dream of having an effective space heater, a few more moments with my love, and just a lil' bit of that ellusive thing called leisure time...

We just saw Matishiyu (not sure if that is spelled right), the hasidic jew reggae singer - WOW. Than we are off to see front 242, and bob dylan. I am having the time of my life, and luckly there are 80,ooo other people to share it with.
Soooo many stories, but chris is telling me we have to leave to catch more music now
hehehe... life is about as good as it can get for the moment

We got a call from my sister at 3am this morning saying that her father had died from a massive heart attack at the age of 63 quite unexpectedly. She was devastated, and since her daughter Alisha was staying with us, we had to go and break the news to her.
Now all the chaos has passed for the moment, and I'm alone in my parents house planning out my day. I've got to finish making reservations for the trip, try and get an apartment, and run a billion errands.
Reading and being on the computer is still straining on my eyes, but I'm so happy to be seeing that I don't care. After having Lasik surgery monday, I went from 20/350 to 20/15 overnight!
Overall though, life is stressful but good.
Nothing that a nice cup of chai and some good music can't cure.

Finally beat this damm cold!!
Feeling much better allready, Yesterday sort of dragged on forever, confronting me with memories, and bombshells, plus my room looked like it vomitted random junk everywhere. Its a little more sorted today, everything in piles to be put somewhere...
Im strangely motivated about school right now, It even managed to commender my dreams last night to try and convince me how cooool it was... (ah huh not buying that one)...
I'm thinking it just might be my brains defense mechanisim to ward off any thoughts about chris being 60 miles away from me very soon.
In other good news, completely unrelated i'm proud to announce that my dad is now a video game junkie. Its darn cute. I came home super late after hanging out with some good friends and found him bleary eyed in front of the TV. He was so sleepy, that all he could say was that he asked for permission to play from my mom (He ALWAYS does!) and she said he could play. teehee! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...
